Privacy policy
google-services-mcps. Effective 18 October 2026.
google-services-mcps is free, open-source software (Apache-2.0). It is a set of MCP servers that run on your own computer. Your agent (for example Claude Code) starts them, and they call Google's APIs for you, with your Google account and your own OAuth client.
What we collect
We collect nothing. The developer runs no server that receives your data, your Google data, or your credentials. The software has no analytics, no telemetry and no crash reporting.
Where your data goes
The software sends requests only to two places:
- Google's APIs and authentication endpoints (for example
gmail.googleapis.com,www.googleapis.comandoauth2.googleapis.com), to do what you ask. - Your agent, which passes the results to its model provider under that provider's own terms.
Nothing is sent to the developer or to any other third party.
Google user data
When you sign in, the software asks Google for the access you approve on Google's consent screen. It reads and changes Google data (Gmail, Drive, Calendar and so on) only when you or your agent ask it to. The software does not keep copies of your Google data. Its local audit log records a hash of each request's arguments, never the values.
The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Your sign-in tokens
Sign-in tokens and the OAuth client secret are stored in a token folder on your computer (by default ~/.google-services-mcps). The folder is restricted to your user account, and on Windows also to SYSTEM and Administrators. On Windows you can move the secrets into the operating system's own store, with gsm protect. The software never prints a token.
To stop access, sign out with the software (logout, which also revokes the token at Google), or remove the app at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Children
The software is for developers and administrators of Google accounts. It is not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page, with a new effective date.
